I would like to say a huge thank you to you all for your help and support over the past four weeks. I really couldn't have done it without you.
I am only the third Member of Parliament you have had since 1983 and it is the privilege of my life to be representing Rutland and Melton and I shall do so diligently and with passion.
I would like to say a special thank you to those of you who have helped to deliver leaflets, knock on doors, telephone canvass, organised visits for me and have contributed financially to my campaign. A particular thank you to the Executive, Management and the phenomenal Lydia and Anne who have so wonderfully run this campaign.
We have managed to deliver a staggering 20,000 leaflets by hand and have spoken to over 1,000 residents. I will not be resting on my laurels and once we have all had a rest over the Christmas holidays, I want to be back out with you speaking to local residents and working with them to deliver what we all need here in the constituency.
Firstly, however, is the small matter of getting Brexit done and Boris is determined that with our majority Government, I hope we will pass the Withdrawal Bill before Christmas to get the nation fired up for 2020.
Thank you once again and I look forward to working with you over the next four years.
